Dominique Briggs

Biography
Dominique Briggs serves as a project manager, actor, author, playwright, and voice over artist. As a graduate of the University of Michigan with a BS in Biological Psychology and Cognitive Science and Duquesne University with a MBA and Masters in Health Management Science, Ms. Briggs currently works as a project manager at the University of Pittsburgh. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., The Pierians, Inc., and DeMaskus Theater Collective. Dominique has appeared in numerous theater productions including the inaugural production of Shantytown, A Man of No Importance, The Green Book, Kalopsia the Musical, The Ballad of Emmett Till, August Wilson’s King Hedley II, and the inaugural production of Savior Samuel in Pittsburgh, reprising her role on The National Black Theater Festival stage. She also served as the assistant director of the Pittsburgh Public Theater’s 2022 production of A Raisin in the Sun. Film appearances include Southpaw, House of Stones, and Set Free. Dominique is also a children’s author, writing her first children’s book, Rhea the Great Detective and the Case of the Missing Mrs. Bearington, released March 2019 then later converted to a TV/ film pilot in March 2021. Ms. Briggs was the artist resident at the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh where she featured another Rhea the Great Detective story using the museum’s exhibits as tools for immersive storytelling and play. When not acting or writing, Dominique loves performing as a voice over artist for clients including Thermo Fisher Scientific and Patron.
